Back In the Kitchen. . .

My younger sister's 8th birthday inspired me to get back on track with making my all-natural cakes.  And even though I've made plenty of strawberry cakes, that was what she requested.  It seems to be a crowd favorite!  So we enjoyed 36+ servings of delicious, all-natural, strawberry cake with vanilla buttercream frosting.

Did you know that every cake is made with whole wheat flour, organic sugar, non-hydrogenated oils, and no artificial, well, anything?!  But don't worry--your party guests will never know the cake they're eating is healthier than store-bought ones by the taste!

Christmas Cupcakes!

One of our favorite family Christmas traditions is to make a cake and sing "Happy Birthday" to Jesus. This year, instead of a cake, I decided to make gingerbread cupcakes with ginger cream cheese frosting. My mom asked how I was going to write the words "Happy Birthday Jesus" on cupcakes and Voila!



It's not too late to order your birthday/Christmas cupcakes and cakes for your upcoming get-togethers. Jesus is the reason for the season. Make a cake or order one and make it your family's holiday tradition to sing "Happy Birthday" to our Lord and Savior! Merry Christmas to everyone. May your day be filled with Christ's joy and love!

Two-Tiered Success!




For my most recent cake, I had the wonderful, exciting pleasure of creating a two-tiered cake for Thanksgiving. Like the other 36-serving cake, this tower of all-natural ingredients is enough for those big holiday parties.







This strawberry cake with vanilla and chocolate buttercream frosting featured a combed design on the sides and small shells around the edges. What baby shower is complete without a wonderful, all-natural cake to celebrate new life?! This particular cake was also strawberry with vanilla buttercream (definitely a crowd favorite!).


For your next baby shower, don't serve a new mom cake loaded with trans fats, bleached sugar and flour, and artificial ingredients! Give her (and your guests) the healthier option they deserve.

A Customer's Great Idea... (and a new flavor!)


My latest order came out of one customer's great idea. This parent was concerned about birthday party invitations that would mean her son eating cake filled with artificial food colors, trans fats, and way too much sugar.


As many of you know, artificial food colors that are found in every single store-bought cake have been found to cause or increase hyperactive behavior in children. In fact, many other countries require foods containing these chemical ingredients to carry a warning label. No joke!


So in order to be prepared for upcoming parties, this client ordered a dozen cupcakes to freeze. Upon receiving a birthday party invitation, she will take one cupcake out of the freezer for her son to bring as his cake to the party. What a brilliant idea!


When you order cupcakes, they will come in a freezable plastic container. In order to freeze them properly, I recommend the following:


1. Once you receive them, remove them from the container and place them(open without any cover or plastic wrap) on a cookie sheet in the freezer until the frosting is frozen solid.

2. Remove and individually wrap each cupcake in plastic wrap.

3. Place all individually-wrapped cupcakes back in the plastic container they came in. Then put back in the freezer and use within 3 months.

When Life Gives You Lemons...

This past weekend, Grandma got an inkling for something lemony. What a perfect oppoprtunity to experiment with cake flavors. Just a few hours later, Nothing Fake Cakes successfully created a delicious, new, all-natural cake! Chocolate Cake Strikes Again

The all-natural chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream was once again the star of the party.
